What you'll do Reporting to the Technology Lead for Cloud, Reliability & Platform Engineering, you will play a key role within a leading digital organisation to facilitate the delivery of critical applications to our customers.
Working with engineers from various practices, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our applications by being involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
This is a role for a technologist with a good background in software platform engineering who can apply their experience and knowledge to develop highly scalable cloud services.
In this role you will have the opportunity to sharpen these skills while starting to demonstrate your ability to evangelise and develop new capabilities that are critical to the organisation's technology strategy.
Learn and Improve your skills through dedicated chapter time and share your experiences within your chapter and across the Engineering practice Generate excitement for technologies that aim to change the future Deliver towards a squad's roadmap Work closely with Engineers to design, build, deploy, manage and operate environments Bring the best practices from across the Engineering practice into the delivery cycle Evaluate all platform and service consumption to optimise costs What you'll bring Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and integration across enterprise platforms Sound and proven experience in both agile and project-based execution and ability to switch context between multiple technologies Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration and influencing skills to work with other engineers and achieve agreed deliverables.
Strong experience with DevSecOps, Cloud Infrastructure Development and Management and Observability Platforms Solid experience with relational & document databases, service integration patterns and automated testing practices Excellent experience with a subset of technologies in our current stack - Cloud - Google Cloud Platform or AWS Code - Bash, NodeJS, GoLang Databases - CloudSQL, AlloyDB, Big Query CI - GitHub Infrastructure - Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Terraform Observability - App Insights, Dynatrace, Google Cloud Monitoring What You'll Experience We embrace diversity of thought and love to take on challenges with a pragmatic and innovative approach.
