About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role The Platforms Administrator will work within the Operations team to ensure the day-to-day operational administration, maintenance, and optimisation of SaaS platforms, with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors (Cloud). This role is pivotal in supporting business operations by managing routine IT requests, addressing system tickets, providing application support, and offering general IT assistance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in administering SaaS platforms and be adept at configuring, maintaining, and improving enterprise-level systems. Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors is strongly preferred, and an understanding of SaaS platform governance, quality assurance, and security standards is essential.
Key Accountabilities include: Configure and manage SaaS platforms, particularly SAP SuccessFactors, to ensure they meet organisational objectives and deliver optimal performance.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that drive process improvements.Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing to identify and address system bugs and defects, ensuring reliable platform performance.Provide timely support to end-users, resolving queries and technical issues effectively.Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to uphold consistency and operational excellence.Oversee environment management and implement data masking to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with governance standards.Prepare operational reports using tools such as Power BI, providing insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.Prepare data and provide support for the execution of the training strategy to enhance end-user proficiency and adherence to best practices.Participate in audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organisational standards and identifying areas for improvement.About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in configuring, managing, and supporting SaaS platforms, with a strong preference for expertise in SAP SuccessFactors (Cloud) or similar systems.Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve business outcomes.Experience in preparing operational reports using tools such as Power BI, maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and managing platform environments to support governance and compliance.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex system issues, including managing risks and ensuring platform reliability through quality assurance practices.Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise briefs and reports, coupled with the adaptability to respond to evolving priorities and drive continuous improvement.Mandatory requirements A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Proven experience managing SaaS platforms, particularly SAP SuccessFactors (Cloud), or equivalent enterprise systems.Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance.This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
