Seeking a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon for a major regional centre in Victoria - Bendigo.Fantastic lifestyle in major regional centre only a 90min drive to Melbourne.Enjoy a modern new state of the art hospital following a $630 million redevelopment.Direct train services operate between Bendigo and Melbourne every day (express service only 90mins).Excellent remuneration package up to AUD$440k dependent upon experience, plus generous shift allowance.A variety of fantastic restaurants, great shopping, acclaimed wineries, exciting attractions, glorious streetscapes, wonderful parks and gardens, magnificent heritage buildings, and all with a Mediterranean climate.The RoleYou will be a suitably experienced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon seeking a rewarding career through your contribution to a large and rapidly growing regional tertiary referral hospital with a role in teaching and the professional development of Interns, HMOs and Registrars.You will have the opportunity to support and develop plastic and reconstructive surgery services and research within the department.Work closely with a broad multidisciplinary team.Responsible for the supervision and guidance of junior medical staff and participate in the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate education.Participate in the shared on-call roster.Participate in the provision of outpatient services in general including assessment and management of new patients and follow-up of patients cared for by the service.RequirementsApplicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.The HospitalBendigo Health is a leading healthcare provider in regional Victoria, known for its high level of professionalism and its engagement with the community.
