To support their continuous growth in the Australian Ag-sector, a skilled Grain Plant Supervisor is required to join their team in Yamala, QLD. The Role Joining a state-of-the-art grain storage facility, storing over 60-thousand ton of Chickpea and Sorghum, the Grain Plant Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient running of the Packing Plant, Silo Systems, Receival Pits, Grain Bunkers, Train Strip and more. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will need to lead and influence a team of 2-6 full-time and seasonal members, promoting a safe and collaborative team environment. As the 2IC for the Operations Manager, this role will be required to manage plant operations in their absence. Working between 40 to 50 hours per week, the Grain Plant Supervisor's duties will include, but not be limited to: Operating silo systems and packing plant for the receival and loading of grain into shipping containers. Grading, sampling and inspecting grain, ensuring accurate reporting of data. Preparing shipping containers for packing. Overseeing pest and weed management, waste disposal, and cleaning operations across the packing plant and silos. Developing and sustaining maintenance programs for equipment, vehicles, and machinery. Ensuring all relevant team members have appropriate training to execute their roles effectively. Monitoring staff engagement, performance, and development (including sub-contractors). About You Whilst a background in grain storage/packing plant operations is highly desirable, our ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, capable of coordinating multiple site functions whilst providing hands-on support. To support the dispatch of rail-bound goods, the occasional Sunday shift will be required to meet operational demands. To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria: Previous experience running or working within a grain packing plant (Highly desirable). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work according to site demands. Physically capable of performing labour-intensive tasks in hot conditions. Grain Inspection Certification or willingness to acquire. Open driver's licence (HR truck licence highly desirable).
