The Role We have a number of exciting opportunities for Plant Production Operators (Casual) to join our team at our Kingaroy site for our intake season which runs until approximately the end of June 2024. Home to Bega Peanuts - Peanut Company of Australia (PCA), our site processes and markets high quality peanut products and are Australia's leading supplier of peanuts to domestic and overseas customers. As a Production Operator you could be asked to work at any plant across the site; these could include Raw Plant operations, which covers intake of peanuts during harvest through shelling and packaging of raw peanuts, Blanching Plant operations where the raw peanuts undergo further processing either to be sold or moved into the Value Adding Plant operation where peanuts are roasted and processed for our customers. Responsibilities Effective and efficient machinery operation across our manufacturing plant whilst ensuring Safety, Quality, and Food safety is always maintained Performing Repetitive Manual Handling Tasks General Cleaning and Supporting Maintenance Activities Safe Operations of Forklifts – Skilled Licenced Operator (desirable) About you Experience in a similar role – previous food manufacturing experience (highly desirable) Motivated and great working attitude to meet peak demands Availability and flexible to suit team rosters across the Plant Reliable with transport available to attend work Ability to uphold Safety and quality requirements as a core value Ability to pass a "fit for work" assessment, including drug test Excellent teamwork and communication skills The Bega Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
