Plant Performance Engineer

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plant Performance Analyst with expertise in SQL, data analysis, and reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing plant performance data, identifying trends, generating insights, and creating comprehensive reports that support decision-making. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimise plant performance and drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets related to plant performance using SQL and other data analysis tools. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs, performance metrics, and trends.SQL & Database Management: Write and optimise SQL queries to extract relevant data from databases. Maintain data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor plant performance, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address performance inefficiencies and support continuous improvement efforts.Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses to identify root causes of operational inefficiencies or failures. Provide recommendations for corrective actions and performance enhancements.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable insights through data. Present findings and recommendations to leadership and relevant teams.Process Improvement: Support plant operations by analysing data to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.Familiarity with statistical analysis and performance monitoring methodologies.Experience: 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a similar role.Experience working with large datasets and developing meaningful reports to drive decision-making.Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and concisely.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the energy, power generation, or industrial sectors.Knowledge of plant performance management systems and tools.
