About the PositionWe are seeking Plant Operators with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join us on a Permanent Full-time basis. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you.We have an exciting opportunity to join our brand-new Pallet site based in Morewell, as we move from its infancy into a new phase for our business. You will complete a range of tasks to assist in our production processes and will be involved in end-to-end production, playing a key part in processing sawn timber into pallets.We are looking for candidates who are available to pick up permanent day shifts, Monday to Friday. We are offering a competitive hourly rate + super and paid overtime as required.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Machine operation of both fixed and mobile plant equipment to facilitate the production of wooden pallets.Sorting, stacking, and strapping timber or finished pallets to process for shipping and delivery.General labouring and pallet mill duties including ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis.Inventory management to ensure a smooth production line with no delays or hold-ups.Having a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site.Perform daily fixed and mobile plant, and equipment pre-start inspection.Driving a forklift to move our products around the site.To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling, or in a production environment is highly desirable.A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual is essential.Competence in operating specific plant machinery safely and efficiently.A strong commitment to safety is essential.A forklift license is highly advantageous.Knowledge of the timber industry is favorable.In return, we offer: Secure, permanent, full-time work on an ongoing basis.A competitive hourly rate + super.Paid overtime opportunities as required.Varied work alternating between 2-4 different pieces of fixed plant during each shift.Opportunities to learn new things and be trained across various plant machinery.Career growth and progression opportunities for the right candidate.A positive work environment with supportive management.A company that values employee health, safety, and wellbeing.About UsJoin our team and be part of a diversified group with over 30 years of experience leading the way in the forestry, agricultural, and permaculture industries.
