PositionPurpose This role is responsible for operating theShire's plant and equipment to assist in delivering the Shireworks program and maintenance of roads and drainage and other worksin the Kununurra site and surrounds. Skills,Experience and Qualifications required for therole Demonstrated ability tosafely operate heavy plant – e.g. Trucks, Backhoe, SkidSteer Loaders, Slashers, Bobcats and Excavator; Demonstrated experienceand knowledge of road and drainage maintenance with sealed andunsealed roads; Ability to interpretdrawings and plans; Working knowledge of RoadReserve maintenance; Ability to work withminimal supervision and in a team environment; Ability to prioritisetasks and complete in a timely manner; Demonstrated ability toprovide good customer service and to provide a high level ofservice to members of the public. Qualifications,Memberships and Licenses Current Provide First AidCertificate; Current Blue/WhiteConstruction Safety Card; Relevantqualifications/certifications (minimum Certificate III level)in Civil Construction and/ or Machinery operation; An acceptable NationalPolice Clearance Certificate (dated within the last 6months). 2 years full timeexperience in a similar role; Traffic Controllercertificate; Previous experience inLocal Government. Remuneration Packageand Location This is a fulltime role with aremuneration package ranging between $88,000 to$92,000 (depending on experience) per annum. The role will be based fromthe Shire's Depot in Kununurra however staff are required at timesto work between Kununurra and Wyndham.
