About the opportunity You would be responsible for safely executing operations of our unique in-house technologies in the area of lithium-ion battery anode materials, additives, binders and electrolytes. Your duties would include:
Day-to-day operations including completion of checklists, plant duties and maintenance schedules. Running/Operation of equipment, ensuring it is always monitored. Writing and reporting daily operational briefs to the Engineers Demonstrate ability to identify faults through the use of fault-finding techniques. Work with chemicals and waste in accordance with Sicona's handling and disposal procedures. Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings. Participate in and support the continuous improvement systems for safety. Working with and coordinating contractors in the Plant Taking inventory of chemicals on-site and reporting inventory to Engineering team Ensure all work is completed under appropriate risk assessments and HS&E practices. Working in a professional, timely and safe manner following all Sicona and NSW WHS standards and procedures, HAZOPs, and risk assessments, ensuring all hazards, incidents and near misses are reported. What you will need is: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with sound writing skills for reports and proposals. A "solution mindset" and ability to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities. Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities, or work environments. Willingness to learn and passion for innovation and technology and a drive to be involved in accelerating the transition to a fully electrified and sustainable world. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of Microsoft suite Advantageous / Preferred Experience in and understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, and feedstock sensitivities, as well as product properties and requirements. Experience with gas cylinders and appropriate procedures for handling. Familiarity with operating analytical equipment such as the Mastersizer.
