About Us The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling's largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City's important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City's sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling's vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position Team Stirling is seeking a Plant Operator to be responsible for the operation of all equipment associated within the Parks and Sustainability Business Unit.
The Plant Operator will carry out maintenance and development works as required and undertake horticultural tasks such as turf preparation, maintenance, landscaping and tree pruning.
Key Responsibilities The duties of the Plant Operator will include but are not limited to:
Turf Preparation Maintenance Landscaping Tree Pruning About You Our ideal candidate will be suitably qualified with a strong focus on health & safety, good customer service skills and the ability to work successfully as part of a team while managing their own time.
You will be licensed and capable of operating a Six-Wheeler Tip Truck and a Front-End Loader OR a minimum of three of the following items of plant: - Tractor(75 HP) - 1.8 m Outfront Ride on Mower - Tractor/PTO driven 'Pegasus – 5.4m' (or similar)
Successful completion of 'Working Safely near Western Power's operational assets' course Current First Aid Certificate Certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate in Chainsaw Operation and Maintenance.
