In this role, you'll: Operate large/complex plant items to support the efficient construction and maintenance of road infrastructure. The role also undertakes a range of Road Worker Grade 3 duties when required. Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refuelling and check the fluid maintenance records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items. Understand, maintain and apply knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour. This will be a 11-month Fixed term role and will be based out of the Narrandera work depot. We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 70 km distance from the Narrandera depot. This role will require you to work regularly away from home. About you: We're seeking a team player and knowledgeable plant operator who is experienced in safe and efficient operations of Road maintenance equipment. You'll be confident, and highly capable operating major plant including Backhoe, Excavator and Skid Steer and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly. You must hold the following qualifications: White Card Current driver's licence Whilst not essential a truck licence, or the ability to load plant on the back of truck/trailer would be highly desirable.
