We are looking for an experienced, hardworking and safety conscious individual to fill the position of Plant Operator - Grader! Remuneration package of $2,422.82 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,907.38 gross per fortnight + superannuation (11%). Access to Council's nine (9) day fortnight arrangement. Generous leave entitlements. Ongoing training and development opportunities. Your new role: This position is responsible for effectively working as part of the Traffic and Transport team to undertake quality grader operation for maintenance and construction works as well as supporting the role of supervisor by providing guidance, support, and direction to the grader teams. Duties of this position will include but are not limited to: Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on grader operation maintenance of unsealed roads; road fettling; shoulder, driveway and fire trail maintenance; road formation works; general earthworks; drain, batter, pond and levee bank works; gravel re-sheeting; preparation for sealing; car park and subdivision construction; laser work; and final trim grading. Undertake general labouring duties. Maintain a strong focus on safety, following proper protocols and utilising appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). What you will need to succeed: Previous experience in grader operation. A General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card). A Class MR Driver's Licence. SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller Training Card and SafeWork NSW Implement Traffic. Control Plans Training Card.
