This is an exciting opportunity to join Northern Star as we embark on a new financial year with promising roles across our operations. We have an opening for a Plant Metallurgist at Carosue Dam Operations. This role will be working on 8/6 roster FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Kalgoorlie.

What you can look forward to: Analyse metallurgical performance and cost information both historical and leading indicators to identify potential process improvement and assist in the accurate projection of future performance.Actively support and participate in continuous improvement projects to assist in enhancing the performance of the processing plant operations.Liaise with the leadership team of Mineral Processing over identification, prioritisation, and implementation of metallurgical projects.Assist the Senior Metallurgist and Processing Manager in managing external contractors and consultants (as required) to support project progress and purchase order generation and receipting in invoices.Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting issues in the plant as they arise.To thrive in this role, you'll bring Expertise and Accomplishments: A tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.2+ years' experience in mineral processing plants preferably with gold experience.A working knowledge of metallurgical test work flowsheets and procedures.Demonstrates sound process analysis skills.High level of computer skills, particularly Excel and Citect SCADA control.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.Attributes: Success in this role will belong to an individual who can demonstrate the ability to hold themselves and others accountable for their roles and responsibilities.
