This role has responsibilities covering Gold Room, Laboratory, Plant Operations, and Projects making it an excellent opportunity.The position will:Exhibit a high degree of safety and environmental awareness, promote safe systems of work and environmentally responsible work practices.Assist the Senior Metallurgist with met accounting and plant surveys.Undertake gold room duties.Regular calibration, maintenance and cleaning of test equipment such as on-line analysers and instrumentation.Undertake plant sampling and laboratory test work associated with daily plant monitoring, projects and improvement activities.Development and review of procedures and work instructions associated with laboratory, gold room and metallurgical tasks in the processing plant.The successful candidate should possess the following:Tertiary qualifications in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.High attention to detail in problem solving and troubleshooting.A positive attitude, curiosity to learn and ability to work well with a wide range of people.Commitment to safe work.Current driver's license.Details of the position:Full time permanent position based on site in Tomingley.7/7 roster – dayshift only.5 weeks annual leave.Travel allowance.Salary Continuance Insurance.Life and TPD insurance.A competitive salary package will be offered proportionate to the successful applicant's qualifications, knowledge and experience.Benefits on Offer:5/2/4/3 (9-hour days) family friendly roster.Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated near the village of Tomingley, 50 km south of Dubbo in Central New South Wales. We have recently celebrated over 10 years of operation. Our current operation runs an underground mine, and a 1.2Mtpa processing plant that is responsible for producing gold bullion on-site.
