Plant Mechanic - Gudai Darri

We know that our success is the result of more than 4,000 talented people working together to achieve amazing outcomes.Reporting to the Project Support Supervisor, a Heavy Diesel mechanic at this site is required to carry out servicing, troubleshooting, general maintenance repairs, and component change outs across a fleet of 793F Autonomous Haul Trucks, 6040 / 6060 Hydraulic mining Excavators, 992 / 994 Wheel loaders, D10 / D11 Track Type tractors, 789 Autonomous Water carts, MD6250 / 6310 Rotary drills, and various Caterpillar ancillary equipment.This position would suit a solid mine site Mechanic with exposure to Field Service or customer sites and with good CAT product knowledge.Location: Gudai Darri, Newman - Progressive site with high-tech gear including autonomous.Roster: FIFO - 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 Nights on, 7 days off - 12-hour days.To be successful the following is required:Australian-recognised Heavy-Diesel Trade Certificate with current and post-trade experience.Prior Field Service or Regional Mine site experience maintaining similar fleet type is highly desired.Customer relationship building skills.Previous working product knowledge with Caterpillar products is highly desired.Sound maintenance and repairs experience with Large Trucks, Loaders, Dozers, and Graders.Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac's SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect, and Customer.Current Forklift Licence, EWP, Dogging & Basic Rigging, Working at Heights.What we offer:An opportunity to get a $3,000 referral bonus as part of our Recommend and Spend program.Flights to site ex Perth, accommodation/food provided on Rio Mine site.Paid training required for site.Job security with a consistent pipeline of work.Unrivalled training and development via The WesTrac Institute - upskill in a multiple of areas, from Systems to Product knowledge courses.Fantastic team environment and inclusive work culture.Made for More Rewards program with discounts at retailers like Woolworths, Caltex, Apple, Crown, Qantas, and many more.Paid parental leave, discounted health insurance, income protection insurance, and salary sacrifice options.
