Viva Energy's Geelong Refinery employs around 700 people and supplies over 50 percent of Victoria's and 10 percent of Australia's fuel.
The refinery can process up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day, manufacturing petrol, diesel, LPG, jet fuel, avgas, bitumen, specialty solvents for a wide range of industries.
We now have a great opportunity for a Plant Inspector to join our high-performing Integrity Team.

Job DescriptionReporting to the Lead Inspector, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment by performing inspections, interpreting, and reporting on mechanical integrity of refinery equipment, maintaining historical records and, offering recommendations on continued use of the equipment, or its rectification and repair options.
The right candidate will enjoy ensuring integrity via risk-based and statutory inspection tasks.
The role includes robust stakeholder engagement across the Refinery including collaboration with Operational & Engineering teams to work integrity matters, special operational engineering assignments, major maintenance events and complex incident investigations.
With your safety focus, you will ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures.
QualificationsAbout you You are a certified AICIP In-Service Inspector or API510 Pressure Vessel Inspector.Ideally tertiary (Mechanical Engineering etc.)
qualified or, as a minimum you hold a recognised trade qualifications with trade experience.You ideally are experienced with refinery plant engineering or hold related industry experience (Food/FMCG, Pharma etc.)
with pressure vessel inspection.Ideally qualified as an Assessor of Quality Assurance Systems.You hold an understanding of continuous process plant operations, ideally oil refining (distillation, conversion, treating etc), or oil and gas processing.Demonstrated understanding of technical (process plant) risk management techniques and decision making to 'As Low as Reasonably Practicable'.MS Office skills in Excel, Word etc.Skilled at influencing through others and an ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.Additional InformationAbout Viva Energy Join a team that values diversity.
