That's the #powerofexperience.About the opportunityThe Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbourne's first dedicated busway.
These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east.Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP.
Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards.
The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Plant Coordinator to join us on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance.
We have a strong pipeline with many opportunities for career progression right here in Victoria.Key responsibilitiesManaging a team of plant assessors to ensure plant is onboarded correctly and is maintained to the standard and quality required for executing the work safely and efficiently.Consultation with key stakeholders to ensure plant and heavy vehicles meet the required standards for the project.Evaluate and ensure major suppliers/subcontractors/consultants are capable of meeting project requirements in all respects.Obtain and review compliance and/or maintenance records of plant and equipment and ensure such records are appropriately filed.Undertake plant and equipment pre-mobilisation inspections, and regular audits of plant and equipment.Assist in the investigation process of any Plant related safety and environmental incidents.Assist with developing the monthly logistic KPI report and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.About youDemonstrated track record in managing the maintenance of fleets, plants, and equipment, along with robust skills in scheduling and strategic planning.Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external stakeholders.Able to engage in proactive behaviour and exercise initiative, managing time and multiple plant at once.Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.A demonstrable understanding of safe working practices as they relate to the type of work to be performed.BenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
