Supply Chain Lead
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer-focused go-getter to join the Hanson team in
Launceston, Tasmania . The Plant Controller has excellent career development potential with the opportunity to learn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics whilst working in the construction industry.
Candidates from all industries are encouraged to apply – we're just looking for great people with a positive can-do attitude… we'll teach the rest! If you do have batching or concrete experience that's great but it is not a pre-requisite.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, including overtime and rostered Saturday work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will be:
Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
Operating a front-end loader (FEL)
Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries
Working in a high-performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Hanson and the customer
Able to demonstrate safety and show coach and mentoring potential
Ensuring all products adhere to strict quality requirements
Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required
Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling

What we offer:
Monday - Friday starting from 4:30/5:00am - 3:30/4:00pm + rostered Saturday mornings finishing up around lunchtime
