This opportunity is in the iconic Kimberley Region, which is home to magnificent gorges, sun-drenched beaches and some of the world's most amazing wildlife and an extensive network of 4WD tracks and outback stations. There is so much to see and do and working in the Kimberley with the ultimate outback to ocean combination, stunning scenery, and beautiful beaches providing an idyllic location to start your next adventure. 
This position can be based in either Broome or Derby.
About the role Our Plant and Depot Manager plays a critical role in managing Main Roads leased and owned Plant items in line with the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) Plant Management 'best practice' standards. Additionally, in this role you are responsible for managing all aspects of Depot for Plant and Equipment including the aspects of Plant safe movement in and out of Depot. Working with the Construction and Maintenance Manager and supported by our Plant and Depot Officer, some of the key deliverables of this role include:
Plant Management:  manage plant costs, utilisation, procurement, safety inspections and plant performance and implement changes as required. Including the development of plant replacement business cases and required plant and equipment upgrade plans. Depot Management:  manage and report on the daily operations and activities of the depot including providing required training to staff, planing and scheduling depot safety inspections in line with corporate requirements. Management and Supervision:  manage financial, technological, physical, and other resources including the supervision of staff. Stakeholder Relationships:  build, enhance and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and Plant providers.
