Swan Hill Rural City Council are looking for a Planning Team Leader to provide leadership, support and direction to a high performing planning team, to oversee the statutory planning obligations and sustainable development of the Council. With a focus on developing a customer service approach and culture, it is an exciting time to be joining the team. This role could provide you with career development opportunities working on a variety of developments and projects in our growing and thriving municipality. Your new role is based on the mighty Murray River, where the sun shines on more days than Queensland. All about you With tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning or equivalent, you will demonstrate your knowledge of the Victorian planning system and statutory controls/legislation, along with having proven leadership and supervisory skills and capacity to mentor, develop and motivate staff. A current police check (within last six months) is required prior to employment. What we can offer you Council is committed to career development and offers regular internal training programs, mentoring and leadership programs, and subsidised higher education and study leave. Staff also enjoy an active social club, staff events, and corporate wellness programs like subsidised gym memberships. This permanent full time position attracts approximately $92,039 per annum. In addition, superannuation is paid at 14%.
