Planning Policy and Projects Consultant (523466)Department of HealthPolicy, Purchasing, Performance & ReformPPPR - Health PlanningApplications must be submitted bySunday 05 May, 2024 11:55 PMSunday 5 May, 2024 11:55 PMAESTAward/Classification:Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 6Employment type:Full TimeRegion:North, SouthAs a member of the Palliative and End of Life Care Service Development Team within Health Planning, the Planning Policy and Projects Consultant will provide a high-level consultancy service in the key areas of project management, policy development and planning and evaluation.As a member of the Palliative and End of Life Care Service Development Team within Health Planning, the Planning Policy and Projects Consultant will provide a high-level consultancy service in the key areas of project management, policy development and planning and evaluation including:Coordinating and supporting Palliative and End of Life Care Service Development programs and projects including significant project and stakeholder management responsibilities.Developing, coordinating and managing contracts and funding agreements managed by the Palliative and End of Life Care Service Development TeamFacilitating and leading the development and review of policies and services relating to Palliative and End of Life Care.Facilitating and leading the development of high-quality health planning processes within Palliative and End of Life Care Service Development TeamWorking with other Departmental units on activities related to health planning.The Role:Provide advice and guidance to key clients including the Statewide Manager -Palliative and End of Life Care Service Developmentand Director, Health Planning and other staff as appropriate, in relation to contract and funding agreement management, project management, policy development and planning and evaluation.Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practice, particularly within a health planning and or palliative care context.Support thePalliative and End of Life Care Service Development Statewide Managerin facilitating the development, implementation and review of major policy, planning and reform initiatives.Lead, facilitate and support the development and use of systematic planning and evaluation processes related toPalliative and End of Life Care Service Development.Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding national and internationalPalliative and End of Life Care Service trends , policy directions and best practice models; identify and investigate implications of these developments for Tasmanian services and develop appropriate strategies in consultation with key stakeholders.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Location:This position may be filled in Hobart or Launceston, applicants from each region are encouraged to applyDetails of AppointmentFixed term full time day workerposition working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 18 April 2025 .*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $104,756 - $118,730per annum.
