Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight$88,066 - $99,656 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4-5 depending on qualifications and experience) + SuperannuationLocation – RockhamptonYour new role Deliver planning and development services to the Council, public, and external agencies in a professional, efficient, and confidential manner, fostering strong working relationships.
You will be responsible for day-to-day administration of the Planning Scheme, including implementing the provisions of Council's Planning Scheme, assessment and review of development applications and reporting to Council. Carry out site inspections and process planning applications for developments in accordance with the Planning Scheme and related legislation.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or relevant discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrate experience in a professional town planning environment.Ability to use your initiative and judgement to make decisions as a customer focussed individual. Ability to read and interpret plans, reports and relevant statutory documents, Council policies and procedures.Team player with the ability to demonstrate initiative in all aspects of the role.
