Who are we looking for? We're looking for a Planning Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a fixed term contract until June 2025 based in Geraldton.
There may be the possibility of an extension for a further 12 months for the ideal candidate.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Process applications for third parties seeking approval to undertake work within the road reserveMaintain 'Third Party Work within the Road Reserve' RegisterCoordinate response to planning referrals and preliminary enquiries relating to sub-division, development applications and town planning schemes and assist to maintain the planning registerMonitor and assist customers in compliance with conditions set for development and access applicationsAssist with other enquiries relating to Main Roads reserves and Network AccessWhat you will bring to the team: Experience in planning processes; project/infrastructure related work within road reservesResearch, analysis and problem solving skillsWritten communication and report writingKnowledge of land acquisition and development processes: project/infrastructure related work within road reservesUse of computer based mapping systemsInterested?

Under this contract, GHD provides centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State Road network.
