What does the role involve?
People leadership is number one.
You will have a large team to manage with functional oversight globally.
With ownership of the planning function, you will ensure the appropriate level of project forecasting, reporting, risk mitigation and management are maintained.
You will report to the Manager, Project Controls.
At a high level, your role will be to: Lead, manage, coach, develop, train and mentor a team of Planners, Senior Planners and occasionally Graduate Planners Support the management and control of multiple complex projects across all regions Review of progress measurement/forecasting strategies, RSA, EOT claims and cost Develop, update, report, and manage the project program Review proposal documentation to determine scope of work, battery limits, construction methodologies and bill of materials Fully understand the client's and subcontractors' reporting requirements and ensure the programs level of detail and structure support this Conduct team program review sessions Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate and appropriate reporting including forecasting and S-Curves across all projects Administrator Primavera P6 data base Ideally you will bring: Experience managing a Planning team as well as hands on planning experience within in the Mining, Construction, and Oil & Gas industry Effective leadership capability, coaching and mentoring skills Practical site-based experience Tertiary qualifications or equivalent and PMI-SP Certification Proficiency Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project and ERP system (SAP/JDE) preferred, Detailed reporting experience, including Earned Value Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis High attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively manage self and others time, priorities and activities
