At the City of Sydney, we're looking for a Planning Coordinator, Transport Major Projects to manage the interface between our organisation and state government agencies. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of major transport projects while representing the City's interests.
About the role: As a Planning Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating the timely delivery of City inputs into statutory planning processes for major NSW Government transport projects. You'll also provide reliable advice, prepare submissions, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to advance the City's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate City inputs into statutory planning processes for major transport projects Provide advice and input to strategic transport planning processes undertaken by NSW Government agencies Procure and manage consultants, services, and experts for project completion Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Communicate complex information to diverse audiences in a compelling manner To be successful you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, Geography, Planning, or related discipline Demonstrated experience in research, preparation, review, and implementation of strategies or policies Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills Ability to work efficiently and independently Commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, and Cultural Diversity principles If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to the future of transport in Sydney, apply now to join our team!
