About the Team Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains.
With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About the Opportunity ARTC is seeking a strong Planning Coordinator to join their Closedown Team.
You will report directly to the Closedown Manager and will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The primary objective of this role is to coordinate the work requests within track possessions.
This role is responsible for providing safe, efficient and effective works planning.
Outside of the track possessions you will be responsible for the co-ordination of day-to-day work requests.
The role will also require you to undergo training in Rail Safe Working and advance to Protection Officer Level 4.
Required on the job training will be provided by ARTC.
The safe, efficient and effective scheduling, coordination and management of worksites to ensure effective use of planned track posessions.
Closeout and follow up activities related to major track possessions.
Plan, coordinate and deliver critical meetings associated with possession coordination, track access with stakeholders, finalisation and Protection Officer briefings as required.
Provide expert safe-working and operational advice to relevant managers (e.g.
Project Managers and Area Managers) in relation to the safe planning of work in a live rail environment.
What do we want from you?
Knowledge of rail, construction or similar industry.
Willingness to train and progress to a Protection Officer level 4 – training provided.
Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage time.
Strong customer service skills.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Sound ability to use MS Excel and Outlook.
