It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.About the roleYou will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by managing QBuild's interface with its clients and associated program management activities. It is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Maintenance Programs including a suite of tasks associated with 24-hour emergency repairs, planned and preventative maintenance, condition appraisals, strategic maintenance, project management and contractual maintenance work.Duties and skills involved:Effective management of all regional maintenance & special programs including financial monitoring & timely reporting, whilst achieving agreed client focussed targets.Proactively manage operational outcomes associated with condition assessments, ensuring client satisfaction in relation to targets, reporting and budgets.Establish and maintain Senior Management relationships with client agencies and other stakeholders to support improvement in QBuild's program management and value to Government.Develop and manage programs for clients including the establishment and management of associated budgets.Coordinate all aspects of the delivery and review of building and maintenance programs and ensure the provision of professional building services.Undertake measures of continual improvement and output performance through value for money analysis.In partnership with the Client and Program Manager ensure constant communication mechanisms are effectively implemented across all programs and projects.Assist in the development and implementation of required procurement frameworks and associated procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract management and administration is delivered across the region.Assist in mentoring all customer facing staff and proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.Preferred skills and experience:Demonstrated knowledge of the building construction and maintenance management industry, including principles, practices and maintenance program management.Experience in developing and maintaining reports utilising data visualisation tool and software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and the extraction and analysis of data from other business systems.The candidate should have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to confidently liaise and negotiate with both staff and clients.
