Job Summary Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Planning and Materials Specialist is responsible for production planning, forecasting, and ordering packaging and raw materials for all Home Care products produced at the Villawood manufacturing plant. This role involves setting up Finished Goods and Material Master Data in SAP, and requires close collaboration with cross-functional internal stakeholders and external suppliers at all levels to ensure efficient operations in the plant. The Specialist must adhere to daily and monthly critical timelines for generating, analysing, and responding to tasks and reports related to manufacturing operations. Additionally, the role requires leveraging essential planning strategies with key stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities Planning Complete all material SAP Master Data ManagementDeliver daily and monthly planning KPIs to ensure service deliveryCreate daily production planning schedules, aligned with maintenance plans, material availability, demand planning and sequencing in planning optimiser.Analyse supply and demand gaps, to ensure timely supply of productsCreate daily reports, analyse data outputs and escalate material or supply challenges to relevant stakeholdersReview and manage supply of packaging materials, ensuring availability of all packaging materials to produce in line with the production scheduleDeliver right size packaging material inventory managementCoordinate and facilitate the obsolete and slow moving inventory (OSMI) stock management processStakeholder Management Continuous collaboration / escalation with Operations team ensuring clear and concise material availability communication.Partnering cross functionally with internal teams to drive process efficiencies, enable business growth, and support new product development goals.Partner with external suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding supply status and potential risks.Conduct regular external supplier meetings to review internal forecasts and identify supply gaps.Other Planning Tasks Work closely with the Planning and Inventory Coordinator and Planning Manager, to support internal planning activities and initiatives as required.Coordinate and participate in semi annual stocktake activities, in conjunction with Operations.Coordinate the purchasing of non-inventory materials on site.Identify and participate in continuous improvement activities.Required Skills and Education Tertiary qualification in relevant supply chain disciplinesMinimum 3 years' experience in production and materials planning in SAP (e.g. ERP ECC systems)SAP experience (Master Data Management)Preferred Skills: Google Suite and Microsoft Office experienceAPICS - Certified Supply Chain Planner (CSCP) qualificationOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
