About the role Delivering peak-power for the times when it matters most.
Located in Melbourne's outer north, AGL's Somerton power station provides valuable backup electricity supply to Victorians during periods of high demand or in the event of a major failure of the transmission system.
While the facility generally operates three or four hours at a time to meet demand during summer and winter weekday mornings and/or afternoons, it is able to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning & Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a 12-Month Contract role with a potential extension.
You will be responsible for delivering best practice maintenance planning of work orders, supporting strategic goals and operational requirements for the site.
You will play a key part in ensuring predictive and preventative maintenance priorities are delivered whilst prioritising safety.
What you'll be doing Plan multi-disciplined work orders for Gas Assets & identify outage requirements.
Develop and maintain a weekly schedule for all disciplines including contingent labour.
Communicate schedule and resource requirements to the Site Supervisor.
Organise resources and material requirements are available to meet the schedule.
Review planning processes and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Assist with the negotiation and planning of the work performed by externally sourced providers.
About You The successful candidate will have a Planning/Scheduling/Logistics background with exposure to a heavy industrial environment or essential services with the ability to work independently within a small, close-knit team.
What you bring to the table Advanced practical knowledge of SAP and Prometheus or equivalent experience of similar systems.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and delivery of planning/scheduling requirements.
Experience and demonstrated ability in working across teams, inspiring high levels of collaboration.
Demonstrated ability to provide concise, timely and accurate status reporting.
Demonstrated effective communication and influencing skills.
