Market Research & Analysis (Marketing & Communications)
The Marketing Planning Manager is vital to the growth of Budget Direct and other Auto & General brands like Qantas Insurance and Coles Insurance. Within the Growth Ops department, this role requires a highly analytical individual to deliver top-notch marketing planning that drives our market leadership.
The role
Develop annual marketing plans for multiple brands and insurance products by media channel.
Forecast leads, policy volume, premium, conversion rates, and performance metrics for each product and channel.
Collaborate with marketing managers and partners to create robust marketing plans.
Align marketing planning with the company's business objectives and strategic goals.
Monitor performance, model investment scenarios, and recommend optimizations to meet monthly and annual targets.
Analyze monthly performance against plans and growth criteria, providing insights for ongoing improvement.
Maintain forecasting for future performance and challenges, ensuring smooth annual planning.
Implement process improvements, including automation and detailed planning enhancements.
Contribute insights during weekly and monthly performance review meetings.
Assist the performance marketing team with complex budgets and invoicing for search, display, and social.
Support the brand team in managing above-the-line media budgets and invoicing.
Monitor R&D and MarTech budgets, providing recommendations for cost improvements.
What experience you'll bring
2+ years in marketing planning or analysis.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable marketing plans.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Solid understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
Experience in the insurance industry is highly regarded.
