The Role Our Canberra team has a strong pipeline of local and regional projects, and we are seeking to recruit a talented Planner to join our growing Canberra office on a full-time basis. As a member of our team, the successful applicant will work closely with our strategic and statutory Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Transport Advisory, Engineering and Project Management teams across the full project life cycle from project feasibility through to delivery.
You will be involved in a diverse range of statutory and strategic planning including master planning in both renewal and greenfield settings, strategic planning and policy development, statutory planning and approvals, Capital Works Programs, Infrastructure, Government and public domain improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities Preparation and project management of planning applications across NSW, ACT and Commonwealth jurisdictions. Assisting with the preparation of planning proposals. Strategic planning projects, including master planning, estate development plans and policy development. Planning feasibility studies. Provision of planning advice and expertise for large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects as well as smaller planning investigations and design projects. About You Degree qualification in Planning or relevant qualifications to satisfy the requirements for Membership with the Planning Institute of Australia. Minimum 2+ years planning experience. Exposure to managing and coordinating the planning component of greenfield, urban renewal and infrastructure projects. Understanding of urban planning and urban design concepts. Understanding of NSW and/or ACT planning codes, standards and systems. Experience working collaboratively to resolve planning issues. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
