About the role Forming part of an onsite Maintenance Team at Mt Piper Power Station, Portland, NSW, this permanent role is required to provide specialist planning, scheduling and project management services for internal and externally managed works in compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, practices and statutory regulations.
The Planner & Scheduler is responsible to deliver planning and scheduling activities at the station.
This position will be accountable for, but will not be limited to the following:
Responsible for developing schedules that incorporate material & equipment availability, labour availability, work order planned start dates & more.Manage & Chair the Weekly Planning and Coordination Meetings for assigned workshops.Manage all aspects of minor contracts from specification, technical direction, procurement, tender evaluation and establishment.Raise and manage Purchase Order service contracts.Responsible for contract administration.Lead the scoping of complex work through liaison with operations and engineering.Responsible to provide fortnightly in advance permit list for production Go/No-Go review.About You Trade qualifications and/or post-trade qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or related fields, with relevant experience.In-depth knowledge and extensive experience using the Ellipse Work Management System for planning, scheduling, data interpretation, and providing mentorship to maintenance staff on these processes.Strong expertise in maintenance planning processes for power station plants or heavy industry equivalents, including parts management, drawing interpretation, and resource negotiation.Proficient in using IT tools such as Power BI, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word to support maintenance planning and scheduling tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inform, influence, and negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.Comprehensive understanding of project and contract management principles and processes.Proven ability to work autonomously, meet critical deadlines, and adhere to maintenance schedules while achieving identified targets.How to Apply If you share our passion for making customers a priority, doing the right thing, leading change and want to be part of an organisation focused on making a positive impact, click the 'Apply' button to submit your application.
