Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or residential An exciting opportunity has become available for a Rollingstock Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities for our Ore Car, Locomotive, and Ancillary Rollingstock fleets, as well as the Ore Car Maintenance facility.
You will ensure smooth coordination across departments, manage maintenance notifications, and oversee the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule.
Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for Ore Car, Locomotive and Ancillary Rollingstock fleets.
Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for Ore Car Maintenance facility.
Convert maintenance notifications into work orders.
Liaise with department supervisors to determine labour capacities.
Facilitate and chair draft and final planning meetings.
Deliver weekly schedule to Locomotive, Ore Car and Wheelshop maintenance teams.
Review and process vendor invoices.
Work management KPI reporting and driving improvement opportunities.
Mentor and coach the maintenance, engineering and operation's teams in work management processes.
Work to continually improve performance and costs using initiative and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience Maintenance planning experience and an understanding of maintenance processes within a heavy industry environment.
Previous Rail or HME experience preferable.
Advanced Excel and MS project experience.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in SAP is essential.
Good communication / interpersonal / facilitation skills.
Ability to read and interpret work management KPIs.
