Are you a town planner looking for an interesting and varied development assessment role? About the role: As a Planner in our development assessment team, you can help shape the future of our region by facilitating best-practice outcomes.

You'll be assessing all kinds of applications against Council's planning scheme – rural and urban, industrial and residential, large and small.
Our Planning Branch strives for continual improvement and offers a supportive team environment where you can mentor and be mentored, while dealing with a range of exciting and challenging projects.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Perform a range of town planning functions - general planning advice, development enquiries and other planning matters (for internal and external stakeholders)Assess a wide range of development applicationsEstablish working relationships with stakeholders to assist in delivering high-quality outcomesWhat's on offer? This is a full-time permanent role, Level 3 to 5 town planner position with a salary between $70,069.71 and $87,970.19 plus superannuation of up to 12.65%.

A degree recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia, or VET assessed equivalent.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Be outcome and result focused.Able to assess development applications and prepare associated correspondence and reports.Be committed to Council's values and behaviours of accountability, safety and wellbeing, teamwork, honesty and respect.Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
