About the role: UGL are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team on an ongoing basis working on a major Oil & Gas project.
Commencing ASAP, you will be working a 5/2 roster within Perth CBD, point of hire is Perth, WA.
The successful candidate will provide essential planning and scheduling support to the Site Execution Team, ensuring the project meets its time and budget targets.
Key responsibilities include delivering accurate, compliant planning to achieve safe, timely completion and desired commercial, financial, and scheduling outcomes in line with UGL and Client standards Key Responsibilities: Schedule Development: Work closely with project team leads to develop detailed project schedules and ensure timely updates.
Procedure Management: Create, revise, and communicate scheduling procedures to guarantee accurate and consistent reporting.
Resource Loading & Tracking: Manage resource allocation within schedules and track daily progress updates.
Budget Oversight: Maintain current budget hours for each activity, updating our planning applications as needed.
Impact Analysis: Provide the Project Controls Lead with insights on schedule impacts resulting from project changes.
Critical Path & Forecasting Analysis: Conduct schedule analysis to identify critical paths and support progress, manpower, and productivity forecasting.
Reporting & Documentation: Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports; assist in distributing weekly and monthly updates.
Data Standards & Scope Management: Develop data standards specific to each project and clarify scope as necessary.
WBS & Cost Control Integration: Collaborate with Project Controls and Contracts/Commercial Managers for scheduling, cost estimating, and project control.
Resource Management & Progress Monitoring: Develop manpower and equipment histograms, track plan vs. actual progress, and analyse any deviations.
Look-Ahead Schedules & Coordination: Prepare look-ahead schedules, participate in cross-discipline meetings, and provide recommendations on resource allocation to meet project goals.
About you: 10 – 15 years experience; able to operate independently within defined procedural and other parameters In depth hands-on understanding and experience in the use of Primavera software Knowledge and expertise of planning practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the project.
Ability to work to a WBS Level 7 Background/Knowledge in construction trades with construction supervision experience.
Understanding of scheduling techniques.
Fluent with Project controls methods and earned value calculations Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
