Job DescriptionBESIX Watpac have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our construction team. This role is to be based in Brisbane or Townsville. The purpose of this role will be to plan, develop and implement construction scheduling and programming.
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
Develop the Comprehensive Programme as well as target programmes.Interpret and communicate essential sequences of activities.Regularly monitor and status report to the project leadership team on project progress and assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to the Project teams.Assist the project team in the use of planning and programming systems.Assist the project teams with the preparation recording and presentation of extension of time claims.Review and update project programmes during project execution.Record progress on productivity rates, resource usage, project performance, contingencies and construction methods.QualificationsThe incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering or relevant discipline.Demonstrated experience in project planning on building or infrastructure projects.Advanced skills in project planning systems.Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.Additional InformationAlong with a competitive remuneration package and long-term opportunities for career development, our employees enjoy access to the following benefits:
