Planit is a renowned and successful consultancy providing professional ecology, town planning, environmental planning, civil engineering design and project management expertise across a diverse range of clients Australia wide.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Ecologist, who has a keen interest to be involved in the planning, assessment and delivery of key public and private development programs throughout Northern NSW.
This role would be based in either of Planit's Kingscliff NSW or Lennox Head NSW offices.
Applicants will possess: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Zoology, Botany or equivalent; Demonstrated experience in a senior ecological and environmental assessment field; Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation; High botanical and fauna identification skills, particularly within Northern NSW; Ability to use geographical information technology and appropriate field equipment; Ability to autonomously organise and lead surveys, complete condition and impact assessments and management plans in accordance with NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation; Strong report writing and verbal skills; Competence to work independently and as part of a team; Current and ongoing legal right to live and work in Australia; Driver's licence; and NSW BAM accreditation (or willingness to obtain) preferable.
