CLA will work to build a community where all people are included and valued and to empower people to achieve these ends.Purpose of the positionHold responsibility for a range of tasks and functions within the NDIS Plan Management and NDIS Compliance and Administration areas of the organisation, under the direction of the CLA Coordinator or delegate and with the support of the existing Plan Management Team.To ensure people's NDIS funding is used in accordance with their wishes and they are supported to manage the NDIS funding available to them.Duties & ResponsibilitiesApply NDIS Rules, alongside CLA Plan Management and NDIS claiming procedures, methods, and guidelines in the work.Exercise responsibility for a range of tasks and functions within the NDIS Plan Management, Compliance and Administration areas of the organisation, under the general guidance and supervision of senior employees in those areas. Specifically:The management of individuals' NDIS budgets (including assisting participants to understand and work within their budget)Processing and payment of invoices – both internal and externalData entry and record management in BrevityCommunication with providers re queries, enquiriesGenerating monthly plan budget statements to send to participants/plan nomineesContribute to the interpretation of NDIS individualized budget and invoicing matters where there are no clearly established practices/procedures.Solve problems of limited difficulty relating to NDIS Plans, Budgets, Service Agreements, and Invoicing.Liaise with NDIS participants, their supporters, relevant CLA staff, and external providers as required.Support other Team Leaders who manage NDIS services to develop and finalise Service Agreements with NDIS participants.Actively participate in, and contribute to, organisational processes including individual and peer supervision, team meetings, and other cross-organisational training and development.Maintain record keeping such as case notes, minor expenditures, report writing and assist with programmatic/organisational data and reporting, including requirements of NDIS funding.Share administrative responsibilities (e.g., taking referrals, reception duties, locking up and recording at team meetings).Work autonomously, and where required, with support of the Plan Management team to fulfill the requirements of the role.Manage time, set priorities, and plan and organise work in collaboration with other plan managers and members of CLA NDIS administration team.Work collaboratively with your team members, and other staff across the organization, as required.This position may require supervision of lower-classified employees.Knowledge and skill RequirementsKnowledge of NDIS services, rules and procedures, and the ability to utilise this knowledge in practice.Data entry and analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to utilise existing and developed knowledge in NDIS and Brevity to problem solve invoicing and individual NDIS budget and Service Agreement issues.Utilise applicable computer programs, namely Microsoft Excel, Xero, and Brevity.A commitment to social justice and an ability to use advocacy skills in practice, where applicable.Communicate effectively to members of the CLA community.Additional RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualification, relevant certificate with experience, or experience attained through previous work or study of an equivalent expertise and/or experience.Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card.NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion.3 doses of a Covid-19 vaccination.AccountabilityThis position is accountable to the CLA Coordinator or delegate.They are required to follow CLA's Policy and Procedures and statutory requirements.In accordance with the Staff Supervision and Staff Development Policy, regular supervision will occur.Workers will be supported with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
