Pizza & Kitchen Chef - Nino'S Victor Harbor

Nino's Victor Harbor is seeking a vibrant and talented Pizza and Kitchen Chef for its busy restaurant situated in Victor Harbor, South Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team alongside our Head Chef and qualified kitchen to always ensure the food we offer our valued and loyal customers is always delivered to an exceptional standard.
The ideal candidate will have longevity in previous positions and must have a real passion for creating fresh, seasonal, healthy food and show flair and creativity through our menus. Your proven track record in staff management and control of food costs, performance management and quality control will be critical to your success in applying for this role.
Key Duties · Italian Pizza making
· al a carte meal preparation
· bread baking
· meat smoking
· pickling
· making and developing sauces from scratch
· menu development
· working within kitchen operations
· deliver to our customer's high expectations of a premium dining experience in an intimate family environment
· maintain an overall knowledge and passion for nutrition and healthy eating
· observation of and implementation of allergy awareness controls.
· monitor costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimisation and stock control.
· be part of our passionate team who will be dedicated to creating memorable experiences
· adhering to all relevant health and safety and food safety standards
Qualifications and Employment Experience · Commercial Cookery qualifications essential
· At least three years' relevant full time employment experience in high paced and high-quality kitchens
· A proven track record as a team player who is able to work autonomously and under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
· Excellent and Innovative culinary skills
· Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
· Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
· Experience managing and training junior kitchen staff
Salary payable pursuant to Award – base annualised salary of at least $70,000.00.
