The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Hobart. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments, whilst providing technical guidance in a range of different structural materials for the junior members in the team. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Become a technical focal point and provide technical guidance for the structural team in Hobart
Apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering solutions
Liaise with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions
Manage clients, prepare fee proposals, and tender documentation
Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team
What you bring:
Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design
In-depth experience in structural engineering design and already obtained Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineering Status or equivalent
Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher
Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality
Willingness to contribute to technical guidance of junior members through mentoring and checking of technical documentation
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients
