We look forward to hearing from you.The Piping Engineer assesses and checks for regulatory code compliance and quality of all piping engineering deliverables. The Piping Engineer carries out piping engineering tasks independently and in accordance with Hatch standards.This is a permanent opportunity that will assist in ensuring all work designed or supplied by the piping engineering discipline complies with the relevant sections of mandatory health and safety standards, including any pressure piping regulation or code referred to within the required jurisdiction for the project with due consideration of relevant client engineering standards. This role will prepare design calculations and documentation, prepare reports and deliverables as required (under supervision) including progress report studies and material takeoffs, promote piping systems to achieve best project outcomes, and coordinate between the piping team and other disciplines as the design evolves.In addition, the Piping Engineer will be responsible for:Preparing piping specifications including piping details and field changesEnsuring that quality of engineering work is carried out in accordance with project/Hatch procedures and maintaining technical documentationPreparing and maintaining engineering standardsParticipating in HAZOP reviewsParticipating in the resolution of piping issues during the project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioningAdhering to and promoting the Hatch corporate safety culture.About You:To be considered for this position, the following qualifications and experience are essential:BSc/B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentProfessional engineer statusMinimum five years piping engineering experienceAbility to achieve quality and schedule objectivesAbility to plan and organize workGood understanding of systems and workflows as they relate to the piping disciplineThorough understanding of the Hatch Health, Safety, Environmental and Community (HSEC) policy and standardsGood knowledge of piping codes and standardsGood technical knowledge of piping engineering including specifications, calculations, P&ID development, line sizing, material selection, isolation requirements, valve selection, and requisitioning of piping componentsFamiliarity with the requirements and application of pipe stress analysisGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of 3D data centric design systemsExperience in the technical review of vendor drawings and supplier data.Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsDon't meet every single requirement?
