THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a strategic, dynamic and results-driven Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and provide critical insights to shape the future of our organisation.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this pivotal role will oversee the financial strategy of the company, risk management, and compliance, ensuring the business achieves its financial and operational goals as we develop into Australia's first Potash operation.
This role also has the potential to be a part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), which will help drive the company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and implement the financial strategy of the organisation to align with both immediate and future goals.
Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities with accuracy and foresight.
Manage cash flow and working capital effectively.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and manage risks appropriately.
Develop and execute tax strategies and planning.
Oversee technology and financial systems to enhance efficiency.
Handle export finance with an emphasis on trade finance, customs duties, tariffs, and international payment and foreign exchange management.
Supervise payroll operations.
Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting and regulatory obligations.
Manage the capital structure and devise effective funding strategies.
Deliver strategic financial counsel to the executive leadership team.
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and guide a high-achieving finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's interests.
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role, you will bring:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
A proven track record with 10+ years in senior finance leadership roles, preferably within mining, resources, construction or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial operations and driving business performance.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and systems like Pronto.
A passion for mentorship, with strong leadership skills to inspire and guide a dynamic finance team.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A commitment to upholding safety and sustainability in all you do.
