Pipeline Decommissioning Regulatory Coordinator

What are you going to doCollaborate with environmental, socioeconomic, and health consultants, and the project team to prepare the project's Emergency Support Group (ESHIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP)Develop and implement the project's Regulatory Compliance Plan and Environmental Management PlanPrepare presentations, reports, and regulatory submissions for authoritiesSupport the project's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager in ensuring best environmental, socioeconomic, and health practicesObtain necessary project permits, licenses, and approvals in a timely manner and track compliance statusWork with design and execution teams to ensure environmental and health requirements are integrated into project plansProvide input into EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor tender packages regarding environmental and health mattersAssist the SHE Manager in developing cost and schedule estimates for regulatory approvals and complianceRecommend and oversee mitigation measures for environmental, socioeconomic, and health impactsCoordinate with EPC contractors to ensure proper development of environmental and health-related plans (e.g., Waste Management, Spill Response, and Health Plans)Conduct routine inspections and report any compliance or non-compliance issuesPrepare internal and external reports on E&R (environmental and regulatory) performance and complianceAssist in developing training and awareness sessions related to environmental and health mattersStay updated on emerging legislation and regulations impacting the projectEssential skills and knowledgeRequirements:University degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a similar regulatory or environmental role, ideally in construction or extractive industry projectsKnowledge of Commonwealth/Victorian Acts and Regulations relating to pipelinesExperience in the oil and gas industry is beneficialStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work within a teamAbility to interface across regulatory, environmental, and technical rolesExcellent written and verbal English communication skills
