Job description This leading Civil company are seeking experienced Pipe Layers for either Drainage, Stormwater or Sewer to join their growing team in Adelaide.
As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for installing and connecting pipes accurately and efficiently.
Your expertise in pipe installation techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and attention to quality will be vital in ensuring the successful completion of the projects.
Responsibilities: Excavate trenches using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
Install pipes accurately, applying the appropriate joining methods and techniques.
Connect pipes to manholes, inspection chambers, and other system components.
Ensure proper grading and alignment of pipes for effective flow.
Backfill trenches and compact soil to restore the area to its original condition.
Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to maintain project workflow.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Identify and report any issues or challenges encountered during the pipe laying process.
Competencies: Technical expertise: Proficiency in pipe laying techniques and procedures, ensuring accurate installation and alignment.
Attention to detail: Maintaining precision in pipe placement, alignment, and grading for optimal system performance.
Teamwork: Collaboration with team members to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in varying site conditions.
Requirements: Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate tools, and perform manual Labour.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
