About the role We are on the lookout for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our team in Sydney CBD. This role is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will play an integral part in our core business of delivering professional strata management services to our clients.
Objectives Produce monthly financial statements such as year-end and interim accounts including balance sheet, income & expenditure, cash payments, and debtor statement reports for our body corporate clients. Ensure compliance with tax obligations and assist with the preparation of BAS and annual tax returns. Prepare and reconcile financial accounts including both cash and accrual-based accounting. Arrange and manage audits. Support Strata Managers with inquiries. About you Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar all-rounder Assistant Accountant role in the Property Management or Strata industry, but if not, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart from the rest! You have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related field. You have an exceptional eye for detail and time management skills. You're proficient with using accounting software with advanced Excel skills. You are a self-starter and passionate about being a team player.
