About Your Role The position of Student Educator (Physiotherapy) is responsible for the organisation and effective management of all clients and services within designated areas of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
This involves the provision of clinical, organisational and supervisory services.
The position is responsible for the direct supervision of Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants employed across a number of sites.
Although the incumbent will be based from one particular site, they will be required to work in other settings at various times.
The Student Educator (Physiotherapy) is responsible for the overall effective and efficient management Physiotherapy Clinical Placements delivered from the WWBH Physiotherapy Department.
This position requires an incumbent with a high level of clinical skills enabling them to work across a range of clinical areas within the Physiotherapy discipline.
Applicants must hold a current level 3 physiotherapist position to be eligible for this role.
The position is responsible for the clinical supervision, teaching and co-ordination of educational activities for physiotherapy students on clinical placement within the specialty area.
Participation in Local Health District level projects where relevant is also a requirement of this position.
Successful candidates will be required to meet certain requirements.
These involve appropriate experience with student education, taking 2x students at a time, participating in regular meetings with the coordinator and running educational tutorials for the students.
