About your opportunity Permanent full-time opportunity available. The position is integral to maintaining standards of physiotherapy practice in critical care services and contributing to the development of acute care surgical physiotherapy services.
The position also acts as a resource person in critical care physiotherapy for staff, service managers and health care consumers of Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Salary range of $124,435 to $133,901 p.a. (HP4)17.5% loading + leave 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Requirements Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in physiotherapy relevant to critical and acute care services. Communication: Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding critical and acute care physiotherapy and service improvement opportunities. Clinical Ability: Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in providing physiotherapy clinical services of a complex nature with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to less experienced physiotherapists Skills and experience: Mandatory requirements are possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration, or eligibility for current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
