About the role Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is currently seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team on a permanent, part-time or full-time basis. Please note, this role will commence in January 2025. Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Bundaberg Physiotherapy DepartmentApply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervisionProvide delegation, supervision, and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers – as appropriate.Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams – as required.Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomesActively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agenciesParticipate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertiseAbout you You will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council. You will also meet the below criteria:
Broad experience working in an acute hospital setting and across rehabilitation services - desirable but training otherwise can be providedA demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as requiredDemonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilienceDemonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred careEffective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomesMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
