About the role The Mater Health Physiotherapy Department is looking for a new Physiotherapist to join our Mothers, Women's and Pelvic Health team. The successful applicant will be offered an 8 month fixed term contract, where you will work full time (38 hours/week) at the South Brisbane campus.
As a member of the Mothers, Women's & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, you will provide patient centred, evidence based clinical care in various caseloads such as the area of antenatal and postnatal care, in an inpatient, outpatient, and group education setting. This will include caring for women with obstetric, musculo-skeletal and pelvic health concerns.
Please note this role will also involve weekend and evening class rosters as required.
Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Mothers Hospitals Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies You may be required to work across different Mater facilities, services and/or sites as required by the organisation About you You will be an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council with post graduate training and experience in Obstetrics, Women's and Pelvic Health. You will also meet the below criteria:
Broad physiotherapy clinical experience in the area of obstetrics and gynaecology, with demonstrated application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care A strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the area of Pelvic Health assessment and management and a commitment to further progressing skills in this area Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in the outpatient setting with a varied caseload Demonstrated skill or ability to rapidly acquire skill in private obstetric and pelvic health care, with a commitment to service and business development in the area. Commitment to participation in the 7 day and/or out of hours service.
