We are seeking innovative physiotherapists to provide services to students and schools using a combination of virtual service from our Brisbane telepractice hub and inperson visits to one of the following service areas: Rockhampton, Emerald, Mount Isa or Cairns.

Based in a multi-disciplinary team who are experienced in successfully teaming with schools to provide timely virtual support and in person visits, you will extend yourprofessional and clinical skills and develop relationships with schools across Central Queensland

The Department of Education employs over 130 physiotherapists to support students to be successful in all aspects of their school experience. We use our knowledge and skills to enable students to be healthy and engaged in all school activities. From positioning in the classroom, to school swimming or going on camp, our physiotherapists are key members of a student's educational team.
Physiotherapy support is delivered through a variety of models including professional development of teaching staff, group support and individual service.
Use virtual platforms to deliver effective telepractice services to students and teachers in a designated service location.Travel into the area for twice a term for a week term to provide in person support.Collaborate with external providers and families to support co-ordinated service.Responsibilities include: Develop your paediatric skills across a range of settings within a variety of teams.Identify, assess and implement physiotherapy programs and provide services for students in the designated target group.Contribute to multi-disciplinary school-based teams through utilising clinical reasoning, problem-solving and communication skills.Participate in specialised projects and research activities in consultation with the supervising physiotherapist.Development of skills for supervision of university physiotherapy students with support from your senior advisor.About You: Rapidly develop professional relationships across a range of teams.Adapt to change with a solutions focussed approach.Strong clinical decision making and reflective skills.Effectively share information with stakeholders using a range of media.Take responsibility in supporting the development and evaluation of service programs.Comprehensive professional supervision, including regular mentoring and peer support.Professional development leave and allowances.Flexible work arrangements across the school year.12.75% superannuation contributions.Health professional award pay with public service conditions e.g., no evening or weekend work.All travel related costs covered by employer.Focus on participation relevant goals not KPIs.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
